Turbo

by Stanislas Dieupart

This lamp illustrates the inspiration of the designer Stanislas Dieupart for the Turbo of the car’s engines. Combining an outstanding aesthetic and elegant curves the ionized steel blades that make up this light turbine are treated with hematite, then lacquered on one side with vegetable resin while the other is chromed to accentuate the reflectivity of its lighting. Although the blades are engraved with an oxygen laser, the heart of TURBO is a block of biopolymer sculpted and polished by sintering titanium and magnesium powder. All this to carefully design a unique piece you choose to display in your home. Made of bio-sourced, recyclable and recycled materials, the TURBO lamp was entirely designed, prototyped, and manufactured in Paris.

The TURBO lamp has been thought of as an aeronautical rotor. Here the steel blades do not split the air but the light encapsulated in the heart of the device, with a spherical release as if to give it room to breathe. The lighting is in suspension, hanging on its steel blades that guarantee the subtle balance between the different components. At the top, the acrylic plates encapsulate secure NFC chips readable with the Symbio NFC Authentication App. Each chip symbolizes this bridge between the physical and the digital where lucky owners can retrieve a unique authentication certificate.
